چکیده
Self-assembly of hyperbranched polyethylenimine (PEI) and fatty acids leads to supramolecular inverted micellar structures that are able to irreversibly transfer water-soluble guest molecules into organic solvents.

Aqueous interfacial gels assembled from small molecule supramolecular polymers
The self-assembly of a stimuli-responsive aqueous supramolecular hyperbranched polymer from small molecules is reported. This system is composed of ditopic and tritopic guest-functionalised molecules that are able to form heteroternary supramolecular complexes with the macrocyclic host cucurbit[8]uril (CB[8]). We demonstrate that the supramolecular hyperbranched polymer formed is responsive to ...
متن کاملNano-food engineering: amylose-based nanocapsules as edible controlled delivery systems
Unbalanced western-style diet and a sedentary lifestyle are increasingly recognized as important contributors to the observed increase in obesity and chronic diseases in the western world. Supplementing foods with health promoting bioactive ingredients poses a major technological challenge since some of these constituents, like omega-3 poly-unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), exhibit poor chemical ...
متن کاملSupramolecular capsules from bilayer membrane scission driven by corannulene.
Self-assembly of polyaromatic systems has proved to be a powerful technique to construct nanoscale optoelectronic materials. However, attempts to develop self-assembled nanomaterials guided by pristine polyaromatic molecules have been limited. Here the construction of photoactive nanocapsules through the scission of an aromatic bilayer membrane driven by curved corannulene intercalation is repo...
متن کاملThe Effect of Omega Fatty Acids on Bcl-2 Gene Expression and Protein Production in Cancerous Gastric Tissue
Introduction: Gastric cancer is the fourth common cancer and the second leading cause of death from cancer worldwide. Omega fatty acids are a group of non-saturated fatty acids of long chains derive from linolenic, linoleic and oleic fatty acids. The current study aimed at examining the possible effects of oral administration of omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids on gastric cancer cell apoptosis in...
